Modding conversation RE: Edit

Thanks for the discussion on WillowTree and modding/constructing. Perhaps you can answer a question on "legit".

From what I have read somewhere, a fully patched BL plus the DLCs will crash and not run if there is something brought into the game that is NOT "legit". Do you know if in fact this is true (or even partially true), and if this occurrs for both console and PC versions?

I have tried online play but didn't like it--too run-and-gun for me. This was before I had tried Willow Shrubbery and WillowTree in order to be able to answer questions about them, if any intelligent ones came up. I also unglitched some "Steal Loot" missions. So, anything that I have modded or constructed has been solely for personal use in solo games. I would not know what to use or consult to determine what may be "legit", other than Gear Calculator.

I can see the point about always having the "best" version of everything, but that's what I want to use in order to experiment to see how a thing performs. I'm an old DOOM fan, and you weren't a "real" gamer unless you were using cheat codes and/or modding, LOL.

Again, thanks for all your help at the Q&A.
